Sonos Play delivers rich stereo sound in a compact, battery-powered speaker built to move around the home and beyond it. Use it in kitchens, bathrooms, patios and flexible living spaces, then take it outdoors when you want your music to travel with you.

Enjoy up to 24 hours of battery life, IP67 dust and water protection, Bluetooth, WiFi, Automatic Trueplay and voice control. Keep Play ready on the included Charging Base; an 18W or greater USB-C/USB-PD power adapter is required and sold separately.

With the latest Sonos system software, two matching Sonos Play speakers can also operate as portable rear surrounds with compatible Sonos home-theatre soundbars, giving you another role for the same speakers when they are back in the room.

Rest to recharge

Set Sonos Play on the included Charging Base to keep it powered and ready to move. The Charging Base requires an 18W or greater USB-C/USB-PD power adapter, sold separately. When the battery eventually needs replacing, it is designed to be replaceable.

Play your way, at home or away

Connect to your Sonos system over WiFi for whole-home listening, then switch to Bluetooth when you take Play beyond your home network.

Control with a tap, the app, or your voice

Control Sonos Play from the top-panel buttons, the Sonos app, Apple AirPlay 2, or supported voice control. Automatic Trueplay continually adapts the sound to where the speaker is placed.

This software continually optimizes the speaker's sound for its environment and the content playing.

Will Sonos Play work with Bluetooth out of the box?

Yes. You can pair a Bluetooth device as soon as Sonos Play is powered on.

Does Sonos Play support stereo pairing?

Yes. On WiFi, two matching Sonos Play speakers can be paired for wider stereo sound. With the latest Sonos system software, two matching Play speakers can also be used as portable rear surrounds with a compatible Sonos home-theatre soundbar. When used as surrounds, they automatically bond and can return to standalone use when moved away.

Can I group multiple Sonos Plays outside my home WiFi network?

Yes. After initial set up in the Sonos App, you can group up to four Sonos Play speakers from the same household while away from your home network.

Will Sonos Play pair with a subwoofer?

Not as a standalone portable speaker. Sonos Play cannot be bonded directly to Sub Mini on its own. However, a matched pair of Play speakers can work with Sub Mini when the Play speakers are being used as portable surrounds with a supported Sonos home-theatre soundbar.
