Soundhous · Property Development Audio

Build the audio in.
Let buyers choose how far to take it.

Soundhous designs repeatable architectural audio standards for residential developments — coordinated during construction, scalable from prepared speaker infrastructure to fully independent multi-room Sonos audio.

For apartments, terraces, duplexes and residential estates where repeatability matters as much as the experience.

Audio planned with the architecture — before ceilings close.

01 · The development problem

Audio is easiest to solve while the building is still open.

When architectural audio is left until handover, the expensive problem is no longer the loudspeaker. It is access — finished ceilings, missing cable routes and homes that were never prepared for future electronics.

Soundhous resolves the permanent infrastructure during construction, then gives the developer a controlled choice over how much active electronics to include at handover.

01

Planned before ceilings close

Speaker positions and cable routes are coordinated while they are still easy to execute cleanly.

02

Repeatable across unit types

One approved typology can become a governed schedule across apartments, terraces or house types.

03

Upgrade-ready for homeowners

Home-run cabling preserves the option to change amplification later without destructive retrofit.

04

One governed specification

The development gets a documented audio standard rather than ad-hoc decisions from unit to unit.

02 · Infrastructure strategy

Design once.
Repeat the infrastructure.

The foundation stays disciplined whether the buyer receives prepared infrastructure, a shared Sonos system or independently controlled zones.

01

Resolve the ceiling

Coordinate C6R speaker positions with lighting, AC diffusers, sprinklers and interior details before first fix is closed.

02

Home-run every zone

Each selected speaker zone returns independently to the central AV location, protecting future flexibility.

03

Standardise the equipment point

Termination, labelling and equipment allocation follow the same documented logic across each approved dwelling type.

The cleanest upgrade path is the one designed into first fix.

03 · Resident experience

One architectural foundation.
Three levels of experience.

The developer can use one standard across the scheme or assign different standards to typical units, premium units and flagship residences.

01

Infrastructure first

Developer Ready

Prepared for future Sonos amplification

Sonance C6R loudspeakers and home-run speaker cabling are installed during construction. The architectural audio layer is already in place; amplification can be added later without opening finished ceilings.

Specification

C6R speakers · home-run cabling · no included amplification

Best for

Developer-led infrastructure where the buyer chooses electronics later.

02

Complete shared system

Developer Shared Audio

Up to four speaker zones · one Sonos Amp

Up to four C6R speaker zones connect through AudioFlow4 to one Sonos Amp. AudioFlow selects which speaker zones are active; playback, source and overall volume remain on the shared Sonos Amp.

This is not four independent Sonos rooms. Selected zones share one Sonos source and volume architecture.

Specification

Up to 4 C6R zones · AudioFlow4 · 1 Sonos Amp

Best for

A complete built-in music experience with disciplined active-electronics cost.

03

Flagship independence

Developer Independent Audio

Four independently configured Sonos zones

Four C6R speaker zones are powered from Sonos Amp Multi, giving the developer a professional rack-based architecture with four independently configured zones from one chassis.

Specification

4 C6R zones · Sonos Amp Multi · 4 independent zones

Best for

Flagship apartments, penthouses and premium estates where room independence is part of the specification.

04 · System architecture

The equipment follows the development standard — not the other way around.

The products are deliberately subordinate to the architecture. What matters is how the speaker layer, switching, amplification and control behave as one repeatable system.

01

Developer Ready

C6R → home-run cable → future amplification

02

Developer Shared Audio

C6R zones → AudioFlow4 → Sonos Amp → network / Sonos App

Control behaviour

In Developer Shared Audio, AudioFlow4 selects which connected speaker zones are active. Music playback remains in Sonos. Rooms sharing one Sonos Amp play the same Sonos source; independent simultaneous music requires independently configured amplification.

05 · Delivery & standardisation

From typical unit to repeatable drawing set.

The online estimate is only the beginning. Soundhous validates the plans, ceiling coordination, cable routes, equipment location and network before the standard becomes a construction deliverable.

  1. 01

    Typology review

Review apartment, terrace or house plans and define the audio standard by unit type.

  2. 02

    Ceiling coordination

Coordinate speaker positions with lighting, AC diffusers, sprinklers and interior details.

  3. 03

    First-fix infrastructure

Run and label home-run speaker cabling while the building is still open.

  4. 04

    Speaker installation

Install the C6R loudspeaker layer to the approved dwelling schedule.

  5. 05

    Electronics & commissioning

Fit the selected amplification standard, configure the networked system and test every zone.

  6. 06

    Handover & upgrade pathway

Hand over a documented system with a clear route for buyer upgrades where applicable.
