Soundhous · Whole-Home Architectural Audio

Music throughout the home.
Architecture still in charge.

For larger homes, Soundhous designs architectural audio room by room — matching speaker scale, placement and amplification to each space while keeping the everyday Sonos experience consistent throughout the residence.

Signature rooms can retain Sonos Architectural by Sonance. Sonance VX60R and VX80R allow the wider residence to scale intelligently through Sonos Amp without turning every room into the same specification.

One home · different rooms

The same speaker does not belong everywhere. The same experience should.

A master suite, kitchen, family lounge and double-height living room do not behave the same acoustically. Soundhous resolves the audio around the purpose, scale and visual priorities of each room.

01 · Signature rooms

Keep the premium solution where it matters most.

For principal living spaces, master suites and high-priority entertainment rooms, Soundhous can retain Sonos Architectural by Sonance with Sonos Amp.

Principal living · master suite · priority entertainment
02 · Everyday performance

VX60R where refined performance is the right fit.

Bedrooms, studies, kitchens and standard-size rooms can use Sonance VX60R to extend architectural audio through the home without unnecessary specification.

Bedrooms · study · kitchen · everyday rooms
03 · Large & open-plan

VX80R where the room asks for more scale.

Larger family lounges, dining spaces and open-plan rooms step up to VX80R where room volume and listening scale warrant the larger format.

One Sonos experience

Designed room by room.
Lived with as one home.

The engineering can be different behind each ceiling, but daily use should remain simple. Every independently amplified room appears naturally in Sonos, ready to play alone or join the rest of the home.

That means one person can listen in the study, another in the master suite, and the family can group the living and dining rooms when the home comes together.

What the homeowner experiences

Complexity disappears after commissioning.

01

Independent rooms
A dedicated Sonos Amp can make each room its own playback zone.

02

Group when you want
Bring selected rooms together in Sonos for entertaining, mornings or whole-home listening.

03

Simple everyday control
Choose what to hear and where. The design work stays behind the experience.

Behind the simplicity

Built into the home. Easy when you move in.

This is not a collection of plug-and-play speakers. Loudspeakers, cable routes, amplification, equipment location and network are coordinated as one installed system before the finishes are complete.

01Room

Architectural speaker pair selected and positioned around the space.

02Build

Concealed speaker cable returns to the planned equipment location.

03Power

Sonos Amp drives the room and creates the Sonos zone.

04Network

The home network keeps every zone connected and reliable.

05Everyday

Sonos App controls playback, room selection and grouping.

The design rule

Each room is treated as an independent zone in the preliminary design unless final engineering deliberately groups compatible spaces. Speaker count, amplifier allocation and cable topology are confirmed from the floorplan.

The engineered system

Three building blocks. Chosen room by room.

You do not need to choose the equipment yourself. Soundhous resolves the combination from room size, listening priority, ceiling construction and the project drawings. The technical detail is here if you want it.

01

Speaker choice follows the room

Soundhous selects the appropriate architectural loudspeaker from room scale, listening priority and ceiling conditions rather than repeating one model everywhere.

02

Amplification defines independence

A dedicated Sonos Amp gives a room independent playback. Compatible spaces can be deliberately grouped only when that reflects how the home will actually be used.

03

The network is part of the audio system

Reliable multi-room audio depends on a properly designed network. Connectivity and equipment location are resolved before commissioning, not left to chance.

Project readiness

The earlier we can design it in, the cleaner the result.

Whole-home architectural audio belongs in the building or renovation scope. Speaker positions, cable routes and equipment locations are easiest to resolve before walls and ceilings close — although completed homes can still be assessed.

Ideal

New build · early design

Coordinate audio with the architect, reflected ceiling plan, lighting, joinery and network before construction decisions harden.

Excellent

Under construction

If ceilings and walls remain accessible, Soundhous can usually resolve speaker positions and cabling with minimal disruption.

Good

Renovation

A renovation creates the access needed to integrate cabling and speakers properly rather than treating audio as an afterthought.

Review first

Completed home

The practical route depends on ceiling access, finish sensitivity, cable pathways and how much intervention the home can accept.

Start with the rooms

Tell us where you want music. We’ll resolve the architecture.

Select the rooms and identify the larger or open-plan spaces. The estimator creates a preliminary equipment plan; Soundhous then validates the floorplan, speaker positions, amplification, cabling and final BoM.

Integrated-home design experience dating back to 2010

A whole-home system is only simple after somebody designs it properly.

Architectural audio crosses interiors, electrical, networking, ceiling coordination, equipment planning and commissioning. Soundhous resolves those disciplines so the homeowner experiences rooms and music — not the complexity behind them.
