Soundhous · K-array Lyzard

Tiny by design.
Extraordinary in sound.

For high-end homes where conventional loudspeakers add visual weight, Soundhous integrates K-array Lyzard as an ultra-miniature architectural detail — precision-milled aluminium designed around the room rather than imposed on it.

3.5 cm or 10 cm. Surface-mounted, recessed or finish-matched to the architecture. Sonos Port connects the engineered K-array system to the wider Sonos experience. Installed K-array Lyzard is also available for listening demonstrations at the Soundhous Experience Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Power of Miniature

3.5 cm. 10 cm. That is the loudspeaker.

Lyzard is deliberately miniaturised so the room does not have to make visual space for conventional loudspeakers. The two principal formats are approximately 3.5 cm and 10 cm long.

It remains a real, serviceable loudspeaker — just small enough to become part of the architecture rather than a piece of equipment competing with it.

Experience it in Lagos

See how little you notice. Hear how much you get.

You do not have to imagine Lyzard from photographs. K-array Lyzard speakers are installed at the Soundhous Experience Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos for listening demonstrations.

Hear a properly engineered Lyzard system in a finished environment and see for yourself how little visual presence the loudspeakers require. It is the fastest way to understand why ultra-discreet audio belongs in a design-led home.

01

See the real scale
Judge the physical presence of Lyzard in an actual finished space — not from a product photograph.

02

Hear the full system
Listen to Lyzard as part of an engineered system with the bass, amplification and processing properly integrated.

03

Talk about your project
If it is right for your home, Soundhous can start with the design requirements and project stage immediately.

Maximum discretion

Surface-mounted. Recessed. Matched to the room.

The design decision is not simply where to put a speaker. It is how little visual presence the room should carry and which installation detail best protects the architecture.

01

Surface-mounted Lyzard

KZ1 I and KZ14 I remain accessible while presenting only an ultra-miniature aluminium form on the finished surface.

02

Recessed Lyzard

KZ1R I and KZ14R I allow the loudspeaker body to be recessed into plasterboard walls or suspended ceilings, leaving only the deliberately minimal finished detail visible.

03

Finish-matched

Black, white and custom RAL finishes let Lyzard recede into the palette — or become a deliberate metal accent where the interior calls for it.

Pure Array Technology · KZ14 I / KZ14R I

Music present.
Not overpowering.

K-array's Pure Array Technology is designed to distribute sound smoothly through the room from front to back. The objective is fewer obvious hotspots and a more natural sense of music being present in the space rather than projected aggressively from one point.

For formal living, dining and other high-design spaces, that evenness matters as much as the speaker's physical size.

Designed for smooth front-to-back coverage

Any style you want

Blend it in — or make the detail intentional.

K-array treats finish as part of the product architecture. Beyond black, white and custom RAL colours, Lyzard can be specified in premium metallic treatments for interiors where even the smallest detail is deliberate.

Invisible or ultra-discreet?

Two different ways to protect the architecture.

Soundhous does not force one technology into every room. The right choice depends on the finish, project stage and how completely you want the loudspeaker to disappear.

Invisible Audio

Nothing visible at all.

The loudspeaker sits behind the finished wall or ceiling surface. Best where the architecture and finish can be prepared around the installation before final closure.

K-array Lyzard

A tiny architectural detail.

The loudspeaker remains physically accessible but visually subordinate. It can be surface-mounted or recessed and matched to the surrounding design with custom finishes.

If your project is already beyond the stage where a speaker can be buried behind the final finish, Lyzard may offer a more practical ultra-discreet route — subject to access, wiring and design review.

Where it belongs

For rooms where the visual detail matters as much as the sound.

01

Feature walls & bespoke joinery

Integrate audio into slatted timber, stone compositions, shelving and millwork without adding a conventional speaker form.

02

Formal living & dining

Keep carefully composed entertaining spaces calm while preserving an engineered listening experience.

03

Master suites & private lounges

Bring music into intimate luxury spaces without turning the wall or ceiling into an equipment layout.

04

Bars, galleries & entertainment

Useful where art, lighting, architecture and furniture deserve visual priority but the room still needs proper coverage.

The engineered system

The tiny speaker is only the visible part.

Lyzard handles the mid and high frequencies. A complete Soundhous design also resolves bass extension, K-array amplification, coverage and Sonos control as one architecture.

01

Bass is part of the design

For a full-range Lyzard system, Soundhous integrates K-array Truffle or Rumble bass support. K-array specifies this pairing to extend the system response down to 35Hz.

02

Kommander amplification

K-array Kommander amplification powers and processes the loudspeakers as an engineered system rather than treating Lyzard as a stand-alone plug-and-play speaker.

03

Sonos connection

Soundhous uses Sonos Port for streaming, grouping and familiar Sonos App control. Port is the integration layer — not the loudspeaker amplifier.

Why the engineering behind Lyzard matters +

16Ω architecture
Allows multiple Lyzard elements to be driven from an amplifier channel, supporting even coverage with fewer amplifier channels when engineered correctly.

Concealed connection
Hidden mounting and a 2-pin Phoenix connection help keep cable visibility out of the finished detail.

Magnetic grille
The removable magnetic grille preserves the clean miniature form while keeping the speaker serviceable.

The design rule

The room determines whether KZ1 I, KZ14 I or a recessed variant is appropriate, how many elements are required, where bass support belongs and how the system should be amplified.

Project readiness

Tiny hardware. Still a designed system.

Lyzard is more visually flexible than a conventional speaker, but it is not plug-and-play. Cable routes, placement, recess details, amplification, bass and Sonos integration still need to be planned.

Ideal

New build · early design

Coordinate positions, recess details, wiring, bass locations and equipment space before the architecture is closed.

Excellent

Under construction

A strong stage for integrating Lyzard into walls, feature surfaces or bespoke millwork before final detailing.

Good

Renovation

Useful where finishes or joinery are already being altered and cable routes can be introduced cleanly.

Review first

Completed home

Often more feasible than fully invisible audio, but access, wiring routes, bass placement and finish impact still need assessment.
